Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated 2026. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Your rights in your music
- You keep 100% ownership of your masters and compositions. We take no revenue share on any plan.
- You grant Artist Aligned a non-exclusive license to stream, deliver and promote the recordings you upload for as long as they are live on the platform.
- You may take a release down at any time. Takedowns propagate to partner platforms on their own schedules.
What you must guarantee
- You own or control every recording, composition, sample, artwork and voice used in the material you upload.
- Split declarations are accurate, and every collaborator listed has agreed to the stated share.
- Any use of AI in a recording is disclosed, and no unlicensed voice or likeness model is used.
Review and moderation
- Every release is screened before it goes live. Clean submissions publish automatically; flagged ones are reviewed by a human within 24–48 hours.
- We may reject, unpublish or remove content that infringes rights, breaks platform metadata rules, or violates content standards.
- Repeat infringement or fraud may result in suspension and forfeiture of pending payouts tied to the fraudulent activity.
Streams, royalties and payouts
- A stream counts toward royalties when it meets the published qualification rules (minimum listen time or completion, audible playback, and per-day caps).
- Artificially generated streams are excluded, and the related earnings are held or reversed.
- Royalty runs are calculated monthly. Approved earnings post to your wallet and become withdrawable once cleared.
Subscriptions and add-ons
- Plans bill annually. Starter is free; paid tiers renew each year until cancelled.
- À la carte add-ons are one-off charges tied to a specific release and are non-refundable once the work has started.
- Cancelling a paid plan keeps your music live but returns your account to Starter limits at the end of the paid period.
Liability
- The platform is provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays caused by third-party streaming platforms.
- Nothing here is legal advice. Rights registration tools assist you; they do not replace counsel.
